The Center for Digital Scholarship is located on the first floor of the Joseph Regenstein Library.

Center for Digital Scholarship

9am - 4:45pm, Monday - Friday

Dissertation Office

9am - 12pm; 1:30pm - 4:30pm, Monday - Friday

Reservations

CDS Workstations

CDS Workstations are open for walk-ins on a first come, first served basis. Appointments are not required, but are recommended to guarantee a Workstation.

Appointments are available up to 7 days in advance for up to 3 hours per day.

Workstations included a standing desk and a PC providing users access to popular data visualization, GIS, and statistics software. See a full list of available software here.

Use of Library computers and wireless networks is subject to the terms of the Library's Policy on Acceptable Use of Electronic Resources and the University's Policy on Information Technology Use and Access.

Digital Project Labs

Digital Project Labs are intended for use by UChicago students, faculty, and staff to collaborate with onsite and remote partners on digital projects. Each of the two Labs is furnished with a table, chairs, and bookshelves and comes equipped with a HP Poly Studio Zoom device and a large monitor. Users can connect to Zoom, Teams, or Google Meet meetings through the HP Poly Studio device or they can connect directly to the monitor using a provided HDMI cable. The Digital Project Lab are not equipped with computers.

Digital Project Labs can be reserved for up to 3 hours per day up to 7 days in advance.
