Requesting East Asian Art Collection Items
To request items from the East Asian Art Collection, follow the instructions below.
Visitors who do not have borrowing privileges should ask for assistance via the "Need Help? Ask a Librarian" link in the full record.
You can browse the East Asian Art Collection in the Library Catalog.
The collection is also eligible for Scan & Deliver.
Request East Asian Art Collection items
- Open the full record of a title in the East Asian Art Collection.
- In the "Holdings" section, find the item you want.
- If the item's status is Available, click on the "Request for pickup" link.
- You will be prompted to log into My Library Account if you've not already done so.
- Once logged in, you will be directed to the "Place Request" screen.
- In the "Place Request" screen, submit your request. East Asian Art Collection items will typically be made available for pickup at Mansueto Circulation within 1-2 days.
- You will receive an email notice once an item is available for pickup.
You may also consult the "Requested Items" screen in My Library Account to check on the status of your requests.
Building use only
East Asian Art Collection items may only be used within Regenstein and Mansueto. They may not be removed from the Library building.
- Items will be loaned to your account and given a due date at the end of the day.
- Items must be returned to Mansueto Circulation before closing the same day.
- Items will be held at Mansueto Circulation until the upcoming quarter due date. You may check out and consult these items as often as you wish during that time period.
Patrons with lockers or faculty studies
Patrons with a rental locker or faculty study in Regenstein may request to keep East Asian Art Collection items in their locker or study until the upcoming quarter due date, as long as the items are not removed from the building.
If you would like to keep an item in your locker or study, please mention this at Mansueto Circulation when picking up and checking out the item.
