Students at the Center

Throughout their history, both Ryerson and Eckhart have served as centers for student activities on campus. Beyond offering classrooms and laboratories, they have been formal and informal gathering places. The Mathematics and Physics clubs were held in Ryerson from their earliest days on campus. When Eckhart was built, plans included a telescope for astronomy students to use. The dome and telescope were instead located on the roof of Ryerson, and the student-run Ryerson Astronomical Society operates the telescope and offers viewings to this day.
