Medicine Campus History

This virtual tour focuses on the history of the growth and development of The University of Chicago's Medical Campus. It includes building history, historical discoveries, new and old photos, and stories about the growth of UChicago Medicine.

The tour information comes from materials provided by Dr. Mindy Schwartz, Professor of Medicine at the Pritzker School of Medicine, the University of Chicago Photographic Archives, and the University of Chicago Special Collections Research Center. All images are from the Photographic Archive unless otherwise stated.

In 2011, the exhibit Past, Present, Future: The Evolution of Medicine at the University of Chicago's Hospitals was created by Dr. Mindy Schwartz, Professor of Medicine at the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago.
