Dae-il Kim has conducted research in the field of labor economics. His research has aimed to analyze the issues on equilibrium wages and employment, education, labor-related legislation, and low birth rates, and provided policy implications for improvement of efficiency and equity in the labor market and human capital investment. Dae-il Kim’s main publications include The Effect of Economic Opening on the Korean Labor Market (2004) and Labor Market and Employment Policy in the Aging Era II (2004). He was awarded the Presidential Order (3rd Class of the Order of Service Merit) in 2016 and received the Bae Mooki Award for academic excellence in 2006, 2008, and 2013.
