This exhibition, organized in conjunction with the Celebration of the Medieval Heritage held at the University of Chicago, draws chiefly on the collections of the University of Chicago Library and the Newberry Library, and also includes loans from other institutions. Its purpose is to illustrate the influence of Aquinas and Bonaventure during the 700 years following their deaths. The exhibition focuses on texts and commentary, with the history of the texts presented in manuscripts, incunabula, and more recent scholarly editions.
