Salloch, William and Marianne, Collection of Prints and Drawings: People with Books. 1500-1814

William and Marianne Salloch were well-known antiquarian book dealers. “People with Books” contains eight works from the Sallochs’ own collection of illustrations and memorabilia depicting books and readers. The eight prints and drawings in the collection depict people reading or holding books in various settings. The works date from the 16th through 19th centuries. Two etchings by Rembrandt are included.
