Hyde Park Seminaries
Everyone is welcome to consult the Library’s print and electronic collections by visiting the Library.
Faculty, students, and benefits eligible staff from Hyde Park seminaries are also eligible for quarterly borrowing privileges with a 25 concurrent item limit at no charge.
Hyde Park seminaries include:
Electronic Resources, Library Computers, & Wireless
Visitors may access the Library’s electronic resources while in Library buildings by using the University wireless network or Library computers.
Visitors need to present a current, government-issued photo ID to be issued credentials for the University wireless network or Library computers.

Printing Unavailable
Printing and copying is temporarily unavailable to visitors.

Library scanning equipment
Visitors may use scanning equipment, which can be used to save files that can be printed elsewhere. Regenstein’s 3rd floor reading room has an overhead book scanner as well as a flatbed scanner in the northeast corner near the Microforms Collection.
Library users may also use personal devices, such as smartphones and cameras, to scan material.
Library visitors will need to request a computer login from the Regenstein Circulation desk in order to use scanning equipment.

Policies While Visiting the Library
We expect all users to abide by all Library policies, including Library Conduct Policies.
The University of Chicago Library reserves the right to bar anyone from any or all parts of its premises. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior or any other violations of Library policies may result in suspension of visitor access.
The Library may limit visitor access during especially busy periods.
