Academic Technology Solutions, the Chicago Center for Teaching and Learning, and the Library have collaborated on a Canvas course for instructors and faculty to help navigate the rapidly changing landscape around AI. The course consists of nine thematic modules:

  • A Basic Pedagogical Response
  • A Teaching-Focused Primer on GAI Tools
  • Pedagogical Challenges
  • Pedagogical Opportunities
  • Legal and Privacy Issues
  • Using the Library to Promote Information Literacy
  • Communicating with Students: Syllabus Policy and Academic Integrity
  • Perspectives from UChicago Instructors on AI in Teaching and Learning
  • UChicago Resources and Guides

Modeled after the Teaching in the Generative AI Landscape Institute held last September, the course aims to provide a concise, asynchronous overview of the topics presented at that event.
