PhoenixAI Releases Incognito Chat Feature

PhoenixAI—the University of Chicago’s generative AI tool available to all students, faculty, and staff—has released a new “incognito chat” feature. When the incognito chat toggle is selected, any chats will not appear in the user’s history and will be automatically deleted thirty minutes after entry of the first prompt in a conversation.

Users should be aware that even when incognito chat is off, data submitted to PhoenixAI is kept within the UChicago environment and not shared with third-party vendors or used to train AI models. And chats in the history can always be deleted by clicking the three dots next to the conversation title.
