Image of Research Competition
The University of Chicago Library is hosting an Image of Research competition. Students can participate by submitting images from their research. Showcase your work by sending us a photo, visualization, or other image that exemplifies your research and you could win a prize.
Selected entrants will receive a cash prize and may have their images displayed in the Library or online.
- First Prize award is $200
- Second Prize award is $150
- Honorable Mention(s) award is $50
The deadline for submission is November 8, 2024, 11:59 p.m. CST.
What is an Image of Research?
We define research in broad terms to encompass all of the scholarly and creative work done by our students here at the University of Chicago. Some examples of images you can submit to this competition include:
- Photos from your field work
- Graphs, maps, or other visualizations of your research
- Stills of 3D renderings
- Illustrations
- And much more!
Eligibility
The competition is open to graduate and undergraduate students at the University of Chicago who are currently enrolled and in good academic standing. The competition is not restricted by year of study or major.
