Larisa Walsh
Head of Metadata Management Services
Larisa Walsh is Head of Metadata Management Services and Metadata Librarian for Slavic Languages. She provides support for information access and discovery by:
- planning and managing library metadata and cataloging services
- creating and enhancing metadata for Slavic language materials, with emphasis on Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian and other languages of Eastern Europe and Central Asia in Cyrillic script
Larisa also serves as a Library's liaison to the Library of Congress and Program for Cooperative Cataloging (PCC).
Education: Larisa holds an MS in Library & Information Science from Simmons College (Boston). She is also a graduate of the Philology Department, Tomsk State University (Russia), with diploma in Slavic Linguistics and Comparative Literature.
