Other Noteworthy Collections

The Committee on Southern Asian Studies (COSAS) located in Kelly Hall 103 maintains a collection of resources for K-12 educators (including a large number of Amar Chitra Katha comic books), South Asia Outreach has a collection of nearly 600 documentary and feature films that are available for borrowing by University of Chicago faculty, staff and students and by the general public. The films are cataloged in a searchable database.

The Center for Research Libraries (CRL), located at 6050 S. Kenwood Avenue, is a consortium of North American universities, colleges and independent libraries. We work closely with CRL, most notably on the South Asia Materials Project (SAMP), a collection of more than 23,000 scholarly publications, newspapers, and government documents. Resources from CRL can be accessed by visiting their facilities or through Interlibrary Loan. SAMP holdings can be located in CRL's online catalog.
