Allen Woll received his bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 1969. This collection includes materials related to theater plays during Woll's time at the University of Chicago.

Biographical Note

Allen Woll received his BA from the University of Chicago in 1969 and his PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1975. He was a professor of history at Rutgers University-Camden, where he also served as Associated Dean for Program Development and Special Projects, and director of the Honors College. Woll researched focused on American popular culture and Latin America.

The collection consists primarily of material from productions of plays during Woll’s time at the University of Chicago, including scripts, posters, and sheet music. Specific plays included are Jean-Claude van Itallie’s America Hurrah! and an adaptation of Kafkta’s Amerika. The collection also contains printed material from University of Chicago reunions.
