This collection is from Frederick H. Schmidt who was class of 1959, although he did not graduate. He was involved in Blackfriars, a student dramatic organization. This collection is documents from five Blackfriars productions: “Casino in the Sky” (1956), “Gamma Delta Iota” (1957), “Alpha Centauri” (1958), “Sour Mash” (1959), and “Silver Bells” (1960). The majority of the collection is comprised of documents and photos related to “Alpha Centauri,” a musical comedy, of which Schmidt was the producer.
This collection would be of interest to researchers studying Blackfriars, student theater groups, and/or student activity groups during the 1950s.
