The collection consists of materials from Chicago collector R. Howard Courtney. They include miscellaneous posters and event fliers, primarily for musical and cultural events in Chicago and especially in Hyde Park. Also included is clothing and fabric, which appears to be from the Middle East or North Africa. Finally, the collection also contains miscellaneous historical ephemera, sheet music, material related to stamp collecting, and figurines from the Cow Parade art installation.
