Historical Note

The Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) University was founded by former president Bill Clinton in 2007. CGI University aims to create a community of university students working to take action to solve pressing global problems in five general areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health. CGI University partners with different universities to provide funding to support these projects, and also hosts an annual meeting at a different university campus each year, usually in the United States. This collection contains materials from the CGI University Annual Meeting in 2018, which was held at the University of Chicago from October 19 to October 21.
