Dissertation Office

The Dissertation Office is located on the first floor of the Regenstein Library within the Center for Digital Scholarship.

We will be out of the office Thursday, October 17-Monday, October 21.

Third Week, October 14-18:

• Review the University-Wide Requirements for the Ph.D. Dissertation.
• There is still time to request a draft review. The deadline for a request is Wednesday, October 23, at 4:30 pm.

At this point in the quarter:

• PhD students who plan to graduate in December should have permission to include previously published material in their dissertations if needed.

Dissertation Office Services: The Dissertation Office provides information on the University's dissertation policies. We help doctoral students understand dissertation formatting and publication requirements, and we assist with the submission process. We support graduate program administrators as they manage dissertation submissions and departmental approval of dissertations, and we audit completed dissertation submissions to ensure they meet University requirements. We also coordinate dissertation publishing and embargoes with ProQuest and with Knowledge@UChicago.
