Meadville Lombard Seminary
Everyone is welcome to consult the Library’s print and electronic collections by visiting the Library.
Current faculty, students, and benefits eligible staff from the Meadville Lombard Seminary are also eligible for quarterly borrowing privileges with three automatic renewals and a 25 concurrent item limit at no charge.
Getting a UChicago Library Card
To establish borrowing privileges, students should present a valid ACTS card and a current government-issued photo ID to the ID & Privileges Office; faculty and staff should present a current government-issued photo ID to the ID & Privileges Office.
You may make an appointment to be issued a Library Card to save time.
Library Barcode and PIN
Your library barcode is the 7 digit number that appears directly below the scannable barcode on your Library card. You will be issued a PIN when you are issued your card.
Users who are ineligible for a CNetID will need to use their library barcode and PIN to login to My Library Account.

To request a PIN, contact the ID & Privileges Office.
Electronic Resources, Library Computers, & Wireless
Visitors may access the Library’s electronic resources while in Library buildings by using the University wireless network or Library computers.
Visitors need to present a current, government-issued photo ID to be issued credentials for the University wireless network or Library computers.

Policies While Visiting the Library
We expect all users to abide by all Library policies, including those listed in Maintaining a Scholarly Environment.
The University of Chicago Library reserves the right to bar anyone from any or all parts of its premises. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior or any other violations of Library policies may result in suspension of visitor access.
The Library may limit visitor access during especially busy periods.
